Seated Chair Massage

This is the perfect treatment to try as an introduction to massage. Using a professional, specifically designed, chair it uses a combination of massage and acupressure techniques on the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and scalp. There is no need to undress and, as oils are not used in this treatment, it is possible to return to work immediately feeling refreshed and revitalised.

Table Massage

Swedish or Table Massage

Developed back in the 1800’s in Sweden, this involves the use of hands, forearms and elbows to deliver a firm yet light pressure on to the muscles. Long smooth strokes are used and movement is usually towards the heart. It is particularly effective for relaxation and the relief of tension which is often experienced as tight knots. An additional benefit is that it also improves circulation which is an important consideration for desk-bound office workers.

A private room is required for this as we use oils direct on to the skin.

We bring a massage table to lie on and require the client to remove their shoes. We will then ask them to remove their top. The masseuse will remain outside the room until they are ready. We bring a soft blanket to cover them during the treatment.

Any recipient of this treatment is asked to fill a form in beforehand to ensure that they are able to have the massage. This is primarily because oils are used on the skin but also takes into account back or joint issues.

The oils are wiped off after treatment so they will be able to return to work straight away.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a safe, convenient and accessible treatment ideal for the work-place. It will provide instant relief from symptoms of stress and tension such as headaches and will induce a state of calm, peace and relaxation. At the same time it is known to promote a level of alertness so is well –suited to office massage. It is performed whilst the client is seated, at their desk or on our professional massage chair, through loose clothes and without oils.
